Meet Your Instructor: Angelina Penev

Angelina Penev is an award-winning artist whose passion for pastels has led her to create breathtaking works inspired by nature, landscapes, waves, and florals. She paints in alla prima and plein air styles, capturing fleeting moments with rich textures and colors that bring her subjects to life.

After retiring from a career in critical care nursing and pharmaceutical sales, Angelina discovered a deep love for teaching. She enjoys engaging students in the artistic process, helping them explore their creativity, and guiding them in mastering pastel techniques.

A member of The Pastel Society of America, The American Impressionist Society, The Pastel Society of New Jersey, and Willingboro Art Alliance, Angelina has studied under some of the finest artists, including Jeanne Rosier Smith, Dan Gerhartz, Julian Merrow Smith, and Aline Ordman.
