Grab your pencils, charcoal, or digital stylus and get ready to capture the captivating contours of the human form! Our Life & Figure Drawing Open Studio is designed for artists of all levels, from curious beginners to seasoned sketchers. In each session, you’ll gain hands-on experience working from live models, learning everything from foundational anatomy and proportion to advanced shading and expression techniques.

Whether you’re aiming to sharpen your gesture drawing skills or add more depth and realism to your figures, this open studio will challenge and inspire you to elevate your craft. Together, we’ll explore the art of translating the human body onto paper (or tablet!) in a supportive, creative environment, so come prepared to draw, learn, and have fun along the way!
Location: Room 300
- 1st & 3rd Saturdays: Figure models (nude) | 8:45 AM – 12:00 PM
Details:
- Male and female models, both nude and clothed.
- Sessions begin with three short poses followed by one long pose.
- Model Fee: $10 for WAA members | $15 for non-members.
- Easels and tables provided. Please bring your own drawing or painting supplies.
