Bernard Dellario holds a bachelor’s degree from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, with emphases in fine art and art history. He studied at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia, refining his artistic approach under the guidance of nationally recognized artists. Active in the Washington Society of Landscape Painters (WSLP) since 2003, Bernard currently serves as its President. He teaches painting classes at various venues and has garnered national awards for his evocative work.
During the Bernard Dellario Alla Prima Painting Demonstration, you’ll gain insight into the fundamental principles of capturing light, mood, and color harmony in real time. Bernard’s engaging process will showcase how to build layers quickly, maintain fresh brushstrokes, and interpret subjects directly. By blending spontaneity with deliberate observation, he masterfully guides participants to see how each brushstroke contributes to the final image.
Whether you’re a seasoned painter or just starting your creative journey, this demonstration offers valuable tips and inspiration. Discover how alla prima can energize your painting practice, opening up possibilities for vibrant color choices and expressive mark-making.
